- Contact Pin in an electronic connector assembly.
- Description:
- A very small and high precision male pin contact that is an important component in an electronic connector. Surface must be smooth and part must be very straight in order to mate with female part and avoid bending.
- Dimensions:
- .320 inch overall length by .0250 inch diameter shaft.
- Material:
- Special Beryllium Copper Alloy.
- Tolerances:
- .0005 inch on shaft nose diameter. Many other dimensions held to ± .001 inch.
- Finishes:
- Pre gold plated surface finish held to 32 RMS surface texture or better (part gold plated by customer).
- Fabrication:
- Swiss screw machine.
- Special Features:
- High precision surface that does not allow any burrs or sharp edges greater than .001 inch. Complex radius at nose of contact. SPC (Statistical Process Control) required.
