- Description:
- A Shaft with two precision knurls. This part is the drive shaft that links a motor to fan blades and when rotated it causes air flow.
- Dimensions:
- 4.7 mm diameter by 56 mm long.
- Material:
- 303 Stainless Steel.
- Tolerances:
- ± .02 mm (.0007 inch) typical with some dimensions held to .004 mm (.00015 inch).
- Finishes:
- No special finishes.
- Fabrication:
- Swiss CNC screw machine plus centerless grinding.
- Special Features:
- Integrity and precision of the knurl is critical so part can function as a drive shaft. One knurl is overmolded in plastic and acts as the drive end while an air movement device is pressed over the other knurl. Coaxiality of .02 mm (.0007 inch) is critical to reduce friction at the bearing.
